QUICK and SLOW: Time is in your hands

Part of: QuickQuickSlow / BigSmallSmall

During this two-day workshop we will explore slow and fast making. Does making something by hand necessarily imply a slowness of pace in doing and thinking or is it a process where time spent cannot be defined as either fast or slow?
Through exploring intuitive making processes, both quickly and slowly, we will aim to understand something of the thinking process of making. In a back and forward activity of collection, reflection, making and assessing we will make objects and devices from found materials, that we will further explore, develop and use to make a large collaborative installation. We will work with objects that you have brought from home and found materials from your environment. These materials will be used in the workshop and may define something of the place that you have explored.
