A performance and workshop as part of the 2nd Moscow International Biennale of Young Art, «Qui Vive».

Space Drawing is a series of performances and installations, incoorporating sculpture and video. Everytime the project is realized, it is adapted to the new space in which it is displayed. For this work the artist explores the simplest and most important function of a line – its ability to divide, define and designate space. The line is created from cords, which appear and disappear within the space.

The version Space Drawing №5, which will be performed for the 2nd Moscow International Biennale of Young Art, «Qui Vive», made its debut in 2009 in Kaliningrad. The entire performance lasts for 1 minute and 2 seconds.

One of the versions of this perfomance can be viewed here.

After the performance, Sai Hua Kuan will lead a workshop, during which he will speak more about the process behind the series Space Drawing, as well as present some of his other work.
