A screening of the best advertisements from the 2013 Cannes Lions Festival and a discussion of current trends in advertising in the modern world

The Cannes Lions Festival celebrates the very best in advertising, recognizing the best of the best with awards that have set the standard for excellence in the industry. The festival finalists usually share one thing: their clips not only brilliantly meet the demands of the client, but they also point towards more serious issues.

As part of the opening for the “Serebryaniy Mercuriy” Festival, the courtyard of the Strelka Institute of Media, Architecture and Design will screen the Gold Winners of from the 2013 Cannes Lions Festival.

“Serebryaniy Mercuriy” is an annual festival of advertising and marketing services and one of the most respected professional festivals in the advertising industry in Russia and the CIS.

The screening will be prefaced by a discussion between Creative Director of the advertising agency “Voskhod” and the producer of the Russian edition of the “Night of the Ad Eaters” festival, who will debate the conditions for creative advertising in the contemporary world, problems in the industry in Russia, and the influence of advertising on urban routines.
