Project: The Value of Moscow Public Space (2011)

research theme: Public Space
Directors: Michael Schindhelm, Yuri Grigoryan

Prior to coming to Strelka, cultural studies specialist Anna Trapkova worked for four years for the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum and at IRP Group. At the Institute, Anna studied in the Public Space studio with Michael Schindhelm and Yuri Grigoryan. She looked at the three factors of direct revenue, indirect revenue and intangible value to inform decisions about public space, using the example of the huge revenue that could be generated by developing Central Park in New York or Patriarch’s Ponds in Moscow and offsetting this against the intangible but irreparable loss that such moves would incur. Anna contunies to work for IRP Group.
