Architect Denis Leontiev is from St Petersburg. He studied in the Preservation theme with Rem Koolhaas. Prior to coming to Strelka, Denis had started a small architecture practice with two partners. At the Institute, he studied the economy of preservation, investigating the market of historical sites, and how much heritage and preservation depends on the tourism market. Denis’s research covered many different countries, comparing the situation across various continents, and taking a global approach. He currently works at the architectural office Coop Himmelb(l)au, Austria, and at Strelka.
