Jezi Stankevich

Project: Design as Enabler of Public Space (2011)

research theme: Public Space
Directors: Michael Schindhelm, Yuri Grigoryan

Architect Jezi Stankevich is from Vilnius. He studied in the Public Space studio with Michael Schindhelm and Yuri Grigoryan. His work focused on design as an enabler of public space, looking particularly at the situation in Moscow. He noted the lack of green in much of Moscow’s public space and analysed a number of specific areas such as Manezhnaya Square in central Moscow. He suggested a matrix to uncover “the face of the space”, to assess and evaluate squares and other public spaces in the city. Jezi currently works as an architect in Stockholm, Sweden.
