Natalia Zaychenko

Project: Desire's Design (Triumph Palace and Prestigious Real Estate) (2011)

research theme: Design
Directors: Stefano Boeri

Architect Natalia Zaychenko is from Moscow. She studied in the Design research theme with Stefano Boeri. She looked at the luxury housing market in Moscow in the context of the economic boom over the past two decades, and focused in particular on one building, the Triumph Palace development. This is a contemporary residential building that was built in the same style as the famous “seven sisters” skyscrapers that Joseph Stalin ordered built in Moscow. Natalia looked at the reasons why the developers drew on this particular piece of historical heritage and on the desires behind luxury residential developments in general. Natalia currently works as a freelance architect.
