Why are some environmental films effective and others not? How do you shoot a clip or an entire film that will make audiences sit up and take notice? What needs to be in the frame and behind the scenes for viewers to watch the film again and again, rather than stop halfway through?

Strelka is proud to present a special video-lecture about environmental films by a group of Russian experts who produce and distribute them. During the event, the experts will screen clips from several films, explaining why some are more effective than others, and talk about how to make films that change minds.

Participants:
Anastasia Lykina — Coordinator for social advertising and videos for the World Wildlife Fund (WWF)
Arnold Giskin — General director of NETsKI studios
Anastasia Laukkanen — Organizer of the EcoChashka film festival

The lecture will be followed by a screening of short-films from the EcoCup festival.
