Random Acts is a unique production by Britain’s Channel 4 television — 260 short films, chosen for their bold and original expressions of creativity.

Random Acts features established artists as well as emerging talent. Their films appears at night, without introductions, disrupting the regular programming schedule and breaking the conventions of conservative arts television.

It’s video art, music, modern dance, animation and experimental film; movies created in partnership with the Tate Modern, the Saatchi gallery, and with the support of Vice magazine and Dazed and Confused magazine.

At the project’s premier, Strelka with screen works by the Chapman brothers, Ben Rivers, Emily Wardill, and the author and screenwriter Irvine Welsh.

Random Acts editor Ravi Amaratunga will host the event.
