The City as an Interface

Studio 1, Second floor

As part of Stelka’s summer program, alumni from Strelka’s Sensible City Moscow group will conduct a workshop about designing interfaces for urban environments using the lessons of e-services design, consumer and industrial design, and an understanding of human psychology and behavior.

The Sensible City Moscow group spent the 2011-2012 academic year looking for and analyzing urban dwellers’ digital footprint. The students also explored ways of using digital technology to improve urban environments.

For three days, workshop participants will try to answer the question: Can a city be planned, subjected to A/B testing, and improved using the principles of interface development?
