Differentiated itself from trade fair and exposition, the Biennale is commonly understood as international, prestigious and avant-garde biannual exhibition for cultural, creative and artistic works. Many Biennales experiments and mutates in its organizational structure, curatorial model, venue, intellectual position and artistic form. A century apart from the year 1895 model of Venice Art Biennale, there has been an explosion on the number of biennales since 1990s.
