Within Strelka summer film screening program, Summer times film festival, participants of the Randon Acts, unique project created by British Channel 4, and Russian experts will talk about cooperation between commercial giants and independent artists, the peculiarities of shorts promotion and distribution, the creation of commercial viral video and new TV opportunities.

Participants:

Ravi Amaratunga – the Random Acts curator, works across short form at Channel 4, working as editor on the channel’s weeknightly arts strand Random Acts and  running Channel 4′s late night zone for short films ‘The Shooting Gallery’  with online video platform Vimeo. He also commissions short form factual for the Channel. Currently he’s working on a new short documentary strand and a show on the history of club culture too.

David Wilson – video artist 

Vladislav Servertsev – Force Media company director (Force Media is a Russian leading company in audiovisual technology) and one of the founders of the Audiovisual Academy  AV:in as well as professional community Cyberbrothers and arts groups Russian Visual Artists.

Olga Shishko – Fine art expert, new technology arts specialist, director and curator of MediaArtLab Centre of Culture and Arts project, founder of the oldest and the most comprehensive hybrid library of contemporary art in Russia. A member of the Pro Arte Institute expert council since 2000 (“Theory and practice of Media Art” program), the Film makers Union of Russia, the Internet Academy of Russia since 1999, the   AICA since 1997. A member of the jury panel of the International festival of audiovisual arts “Videologia”. A director of “Mediaforum” within the framework of Moscow Intrnational Film Festival
